Pilgrimage - a form of divine worship that is a realization of a spiritual necessity for Orthodox Christians in their adoration at shrines, participation at the Divine Service at sacred places, prayer communication with believers from local Orthodox Church"

The tasks of the Pilgrimage Center of the Department for External Church Relations of Ukrainian Orthodox Church are following:
• Support with information, systematization and statistics for the pilgrimage movement in Ukraine;
• Training of staff, preparation of new pilgrimage programs, methodological materials for the pilgrimage offices of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church
• Centralized presentation of concerns of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (related to pilgrimages) to the local Orthodox Churches, governmental and non-governmental offices in and beyond Ukraine;
• Organization of pilgrimage trips to sacred places in Ukraine and to Christian shrines in other countries;
• Organization of children's camps for holidays and pilgrimages for children;
• Organization and support for the reception of international pilgrimage groups in Kyiv city and all Ukraine.
